This Healthy Pecan Pie Recipe Is Your New Fave Holiday Dessert

December 4, 2023

Pecan pie is a classic dessert loved by many during the holiday season, but unfortunately, the traditional recipe often calls for ingredients high in sugar and unhealthy fats. While it is absolutely okay to indulge once in a while, if you’re looking for a healthy pecan pie recipe that you can make instead this holiday season, we got you.

A traditional pecan pie usually consists of a buttery crust, a sweet filling made with corn syrup, sugar, eggs, and of course, pecans. While these ingredients contribute to the rich and indulgent flavor of a pecan pie, they can also add excessive amounts of sugar and unhealthy fats to the dessert. To make a healthy pecan pie, you can make substitutions and modifications that reduce the sugar content and replace unhealthy fats with healthier alternatives.

With these simple modifications, you can indulge in a delicious dessert while still maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet. Treat yourself and your loved ones to this delightful and healthier version of a classic pecan pie.
