Our Favorite Low-Carb Snacks to Buy at Costco

Costco has an increasingly-wide variety of low-carb snacks, but finding these foods isn’t always easy. It can be overwhelming to try to navigate Costco’s grocery aisles, dodging sample stations, and avoiding the crush of carts in any circumstances. When you’re in search of snacks that fit the low-carb criteria? Well, we won’t say mission impossible, but we definitely feel your pain.
That’s why we’ve rounded up our favorite low-carb foods to buy at Costco — so you can get in, get out, and get snacking.
1. Mt. Olive Kosher Petite Dills
Dill pickles are often just an afterthought, served alongside deli-style sandwiches or piles of pulled pork, but with their crunchy texture and a garlicky flavor, they’re actually are a superstar low-carb snack: These pint-sized pickles have just 1 gram net carbs (1 gram carbohydrates and 0 g fiber). Plus, the brined cucumbers can last up for up to two years in the refrigerator, which is plenty of time to crunch your way through the colossal container.
Pro Tip: Be sure to pick the dill variety, because both bread and butter and (the oh-so-trendy) sweet-hot pickles are loaded with added sugar that will overload your daily carb count.
2. Pawley’s Island Palmetto Cheese Spread
This Southern spread is the zero-carb snack you’ve been dreaming of. Palmetto Cheese Spread (aka pimento cheese) is a mixture of cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, pimentos, and spices. It’s creamy and cheesy with a subtle spark of heat. Pair it with celery sticks, carrot coins or, better yet, halved baby bell peppers, because you’ll want an indecently generous scoop for every bite.
Pro Tip: This spread also makes a decadent topper for bun-less burgers.
3. WestEnd Chicken Skewers
These grilled chicken skewers are a Costco cult favorite, and for good reason. Packed with three to four pieces of seasoned and grilled chicken breast per skewer, this is one of the tastiest foods stocked at the warehouse giant. Eat the skewers as a midday snack, or slide them off to top a salad or eat alongside veggies. A serving size is two skewers, which has just 3 grams of carbohydrates, and with 24 grams of protein. In other words, you’ll be full until the dinner bell rings.
4. Spirella Minis and Mozzarella
Meat and cheese roll-ups are one of the easiest, tastiest low-carb snacks. This variety pack pairs mild-and-creamy mozzarella cheese with slices of salty prosciutto and soppressata. The serving size is a generous 6 pieces, though just a few of the pre-wrapped and rolled snacks is satisfying enough. The soppressata minis have 3 grams of net carbs (5 grams of total carbohydrates and 2 grams of fiber), while the prosciutto and mozzarella bites add 0 carbs to your daily count while packing 25 grams of protein.
5. Kirkland Signature Sparkling Water
Costco’s house brand Kirkland Signature introduced this La Croix lookalike last year. At a fraction of the cost per can and with a fresher fruit flavor, this generic sparkling water is even better than the original. The seltzer comes in a 32-can variety pack of a dozen lemon and lime and eight grapefruit. No matter the fruit flavor, the cans contain 0 calories and 0 grams of carbohydrates.
