8 Healthy and Decadent Desserts We Love From Instagram

At Clean Plates, we’ll never tell you not to eat dessert. After all, we are human. And, since dessert is one of life’s little luxuries, we believe strongly in partaking. But, that doesn’t mean that you should eat half of a strawberry layer cake in one sitting, or scoff down a dozen snickerdoodles. What it does mean is indulging in moderation, and choosing sweet endings that have less sugar and more healthful, nutrient-dense ingredients. Luckily, these days, there’s no shortage of healthy dessert recipes that are also totally decadent.

We searched Instagram for the most drool-worthy recipes that are also (relatively) good for you. From gooey, gluten-free brownies to vegan raspberry cheesecake bars, here’s what we’re loving right now.

P.S. Follow us on Instagram for even more healthy dessert recipes!

1. Easy Gluten-Free Vegan Brownies from Minimalist Baker

With just ten ingredients and a half an hour, you can make these fudge-y vegan brownies. What are you waiting for?

Avocado Chocolate Truffles

2. Chocolate Avocado Truffles from Eating Bird Food

This easy, make-ahead treat is packed with healthy fats and fiber, but will satisfy any chocolate craving. Even better, I bet you have most of the ingredients on hand for this recipe; it only requires four of them. Keep ’em stashed in the fridge for whenever you need a hit of chocolate.

Chocolate Dipped Clementines

3. Chocolate-Dipped Clementines from How Sweet Eats

If you have never been privy to the genius that is chocolate plus orange, then we highly suggest you make this delicious combination the next time clementines come around (or tangerines would work, too).

Carrot cake bliss balls

4. Carrot Cake Bliss Balls from Fitomatoes

You may not miss the cake at all with these sweet, nutty carrot cake-like bites. They’re naturally sweet from dates and maple syrup, plus orange peel and carrots themselves.

No Bake Pumpkin Peanut Butter Bars

5. No-Bake Pumpkin Peanut Butter Bars from Dani’s Healthy Eats

You already know that peanut butter and chocolate go together, but have you tried peanut butter, chocolate, and pumpkin?? The best part of this dessert is that you don’t need to bake it. Score!

Vegan gluten free raspberry cheesecake bars

6. Vegan Raspberry Cheesecake Bars from Choosing Chia

Here’s another no-bake recipe for you; they set up right in the fridge. That means you can eat them faster! And with ingredients such as nuts, oats, dates, raspberries, and coconut cream and coconut oil, they’re full of real ingredients with healthy fats, fiber, and no refined sugar. Gluten-free, too!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Bark

7. Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Bark from Wholesome Patisserie

Faster than you can say, what’s for dessert, this vegan, gluten-free bark is on its way to the freezer to chill—and then crack into pieces. We think it’s a fine idea to use a different kind of nut butter (this one uses a crunchy peanut butter) if you like, or opt for a super dark chocolate instead.

Matcha Yogurt Popsicles

8. Matcha Yogurt Popsicles from Soulful and Healthy

Matcha’s grassy and herbal notes pair well with Greek yogurt, a little bit of honey, and a swirl of good-quality chocolate. Go ahead, give it a go.
