Ingredients

1 packed cup of basil

1⁄2 cup of olive oil

2 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon of maple syrup

1⁄2 a cup of walnuts

A lemon squeeze

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon of chilli pepper flakes

A blender

Directions

  1. Put basil, garlic, maple syrup, walnuts, lemon squeezed, salt, pepper and chilli flakes into a blender add olive oil and blend.

  2. If pesto is not easily mixing, add more olive oil until the mixture is a paste.

  3. Taste and add more salt if needed.
